Each time we have a quarrel It almost breaks my heart 'Cause I'm so afraid That we will have to part
Each night I ask the stars up above Why must I be a teenager in love
One day I feel so happy Next day I feel so sad I guess I'll learn To take the good with the bad
'Cause each night I ask the stars up above Why must I be a teenager in love
I cried a tear for nobody but you I'll be a lonely one If you should say we're through Well if you want to make me cry That won't be so hard to do If you should say goodbye I'd still go on loving you
Each night I ask the stars up above Why must I be a teenager in love
I cried a tear for nobody but you I'll be a lonely one If you should say we're through Well if you want to make me cry That won't be so hard to do And if you should say goodbye I'd still go on loving you
Each night I ask the stars up above Why must I be a teenager in love Why must I be a teenager in love Why must I be a teenager in love Why must I be a teenager in love
La película "La boda de mi mejor amigo" empieza con esta canción de Dusty Springfield cantada por Ani Difranco.
Wishin' and Hopin' Wishin' and hopin' And thinkin' and prayin' Plannin' and dreamin' Each night of his charms That won't get you into his arms So if you're looking To find love that you can share All you gotta do is Hold him and kiss him and love him And show him that you care Show him that you care just for him Do the things that he likes to do Wear your hair just for him Cause you won't get him Thinkin' and prayin', Wishin' and hopin' Just
Wishin' and hopin' and Thinkin' and prayin' Plannin' and dreamin' His kisses will start That won't get you into his heart So if you're thinkin' Of how great true love is All you gotta do is Hold him, and kiss him And squeeze him and love him Just do it And after you do You will be his
Show him that you care And just for him Do the things that he likes to do Wear your hair just for him Cause you won't get him Thinkin' and prayin' Wishin' and hopin' just
Siempre serán los putos amos del neo-rockabilly. Aquí dejo dos videos de dos épocas bien diferentes. Stray Cat Strut (directo del 81)
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Black and orange stray cat sittin' on a fence Ain't got enough dough to pay the rent I'm flat broke but I don't care I strut right by with my tail in the air
Stray cat strut, I'm a ladies' cat, A feline Casanova, hey man, thats where its at Get a shoe thrown at me from a mean old man Get my dinner from a garbage can
Yeah don't cross my path
I don't bother chasing mice around I slink down the alley way looking for a fight Howling to the moonlight on a hot summer night Singin' the blues while the lady cats cry, "Wild stray cat, you're a real gone guy."
I wish I could be as carefree and wild, but I got cat class and I got cat style.

Bring It Back Again
Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back again I cruise around with the radio on Make me feel alright Make me feel alright Wide open highway and the sun going down Make me feel alright Make me feel alright I grab my guitar and pick out a song You wear that pretty dress we never could go wrong We had no money but never seem to care Our love took us everywhere
Bring it back again Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back again Bring it back again
I cruise around in a rag top ride Make me feel alright Make me feel alright But now I got no one by my side Make me feel alright Make me feel alright Though I never share my memories No one by my side to comfort me I need your little hand to hold in mine Got to hold you all the time
Bring it back again Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back again Bring it back again
Is it any wonder, why I love you so Oh you were my first love When your arms met mine You just stole my heart for all time
Bring it back again Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back again Bring it back again
I cruise around with the radio on Make me feel alright Make me feel alright Wide open highway with the sun going down Make me feel alright Make me feel alright Though I know I'm the only one to blame I've had enough of this sorrow and pain I know that deep down you still feel the same
Bring me your love back again Bring it back again Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back again Bring it back again Come on bring it back again Bring it back. Bring it back. Bring it back again Bring it back again Come on bring it back again Bring it back again
"LEGENDS OF DOO WOP by Tony Mortillaro" es un corto documental en tono irónico y humorístico que trata sobre dos hombres que claman haber sido el "hit factor" detrás de los más grandes nombres del rock and roll.
KENNY VANCE AND THE PLANOTONES LOOKING FOR AN ECHO Esta es una versión muy especial de este éxito clásico, refleja muy bien los sentimientos encerrados en el doowop.
At Erasmus Hall High School, we used to harmonize Me and Benny and Ira and two Italian guys We were singing oldies, but they were newies then And today when I play my old 45's, I remember when...
We'd practice in a subway, in a lobby or a hall Crowded in a doorway, singing doo wops to the wall. And if we went to a party and they wouldn't let us sing, We'd lock ourselves in the bathroom, and nobody could get in.
'Cause we were looking for an echo, an answer to our sound A place to be in harmony A place we almost found.
And the girls would gather 'round us, and our heads would really swell. We'd sing songs by the Moonglows, the Harptones, and the Dells. And when we sang "Sincerely," we really sang it high. Even though it was falsetto, we almost reached the sky.
We've sung a lot of changes since 1955. And a lot of bad arrangements we've tried to harmonize. Now we've turned into oldies, but we were newies then. And today when I play my old 45's, I remember when...
We were looking for an echo, an answer to our sound A place to be in harmony A place we almost found
(Actualización:) A continuación la letra del mismo tema pero ahora por Rocky Sharpe and the Replays recordando sus principios en su anterior banda The Razors.
On the seafront down at Brighton We used to harmonize Me, Griff, Den, and Johnny "Slick" and some other guys
We were singin' oldies But they were goodies then And today when I play my old 45s I remember when
We practised in a backroom Down in old St. Louis Hall Crowdin' under the arches Singin' Doo-Wop to the wall
And when we played at Richmond We'd really pack 'em in And the people would travel from miles around Just to hear The Razors sing
'Cause we were lookin' for an echo An answer to our sound A place to live in harmony A place we almost found
We'd forget the world around us When we sang old "Chapel Bells" We'd sing songs by The Moonglows The Harptones, and The Dells
And when we sang "Sincerely" We would sing with all our might Even though the town was sleepin' We'd break the still of the night We've seen a lot of changes Since when we first began
We've gone our separate ways now Even sung with some other bands Now we've turned to oldies But we were newies then
And today when I play my old 45s I remember when We were lookin' for an echo An answer to our sound A place to live in harmony A place we almost found
We were lookin' for an echo An answer to our sound A place to live in harmony A place we almost found We were lookin' for an echo...
